Montgomery County Natives Compete In Super Bowl

LANSDALE, PA -- The Eagles may be out of it, but fans from Montgomery County can still have a rooting interest in Super Bowl 50.

Sean McDermott, a 1993 La Salle High School graduate who is originally from North Wales, is the Carolina Panthers defensive coordinator.

Brandon McManus, a 2009 graduate of North Penn High School and Temple University, is the Denver Broncos kicker.

Corey Brown, a wide receiver, is a Cardinal O’Hara product who went on to play for Ohio State before being drafted by the Panthers.

And Jordan Norwood, the Broncos’ much-feared punt returner, isn’t from the Philly area, but he did go to Penn State and State College Area High School, and compliments the region’s formidable entourage that will take to the gridiron come Saturday.

Kickoff for Super Bowl 50 is 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, February 7.
