Revenues High, Expenses Low as Wissahickon School District Preps for 2014

At its Dec. 9 meeting, Wissahickon School Board reviewed its 2013-14 budget and prepared its books for the 2014-15 budget.
Revenues in 2012-13 totaled $84.27 million, more than the budgeted 2012-13 figure of $83.3 million, per The Ambler Gazette.
Most of those increased revenues came from state subsidies from the Public School Employees’ Retirement System, per the report, which went from $12.19 million in 2011-12 to $13.082 million in 2012-13.
On the expense side, expenses were nearly $3 million less than the budgeted $85.814 million for 2012-13. Audited expenses from 2011-12 were down as well.
