Timoney Knox, LLP Welcomes New Associate

Fort Washington-based law firm welcomes Tyler J. Dunphy as an associate attorney and member of the firm's Students' Rights team.

Fort Washington-based Timoney Knox, LLP is pleased to welcome Tyler J. Dunphy as an associate attorney and member of the firm’s Students’ Rights team.

A Glenside native, Dunphy focuses his practice on education law, specifically, the needs of children and their families as it relates to special education law and students’ rights, including transgender rights.

Dunphy has experience advocating for the rights of others and has also practiced in the areas of employment discrimination and civil litigation.

He graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government from The College of William and Mary in 2015. He received a Juris Doctor degree from the Pennsylvania State University, Dickinson School of Law in 2018. While at Penn State, Dunphy received the CALI Award in Evidence for the single highest grade in his law school class.

Dunphy is currently pursuing a Masters of Science in Education degree from the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education, where he is a merit scholar. He anticipates a 2020 graduation.

He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Dunphy is a member of the Pennsylvania, Montgomery, Philadelphia and American Bar Associations.

An avid supporter of community programs, Dunphy served as Penn State Law Benefiting THON’s Founding Chair from 2016 through 2019. He was also involved with the Penn State Law, Family Law Clinic. He currently sits on the LaSalle College High School Leadership Committee.
