Two Wanted in Alleged Blue Bell Wawa Credit Card Fraud

Two black men entered the Wawa on Saturday night and allegedly scammed a cashier in a credit card transaction.

Whitpain Township Police are investigating an alleged credit card fraud that occurred at the Wawa on DeKalb Pike in Blue Bell on Saturday.
Police said at 11:55 p.m. Saturday, a black man came to the front register and attempted to buy a $50 gift card and a Gatorade.
He was soon joined by a second, shorter black man, police said.
The first individual attempted to pay with a gift card, which did go through, police said. However, when the cashier checked the number on the card with the numbers on the printed receipt, they did not match, police said.
Both men left the store, with one stating he was going to get his ID out of the car, police said.
Both entered a white sedan and left the parking lot.
The first man is described as being in his mid- to late-20s, wearing jeans, black jacket and blue-hooded sweatshirt, police said. He also had a "bubble-type" scar under his left eye, police said.
The second man was wearing jeans, a hooded sweatshirt and a purple jacket with white sleeves and "Brooklyn Varsity" on the back, police said.
