Whitpain Man Allegedly Burglarizes Home, Confronted by Homeowner, Police Say
Alexander Aufiero, 30, of Penllyn Pike, allegedly burglarized a home on Village Circle Dec. 9 and fled after being confronted by the homeowner.

A Whitpain Township man who allegedly burglarized a home in daylight last month and was confronted by the homeowner was sent to Montgomery County prison Jan. 9 in lieu of $10,000 bail, police said.
Alexander Aufiero, 30, of the 800 block of Penllyn Pike, had a warrant issued for his arrest, charging him with burglary, criminal trespassing and giving a fake name to police, police said. Aufiero was eventually taken into custody Jan. 9 at the Philadelphia House of Corrections, police said. He was arraigned before District Judge Robert Sobeck.
Police received a call on Dec. 9 at 4:28 p.m. from a resident on the 800 block of Village Circle, Whitpain Township, who told them an unknown white man entered the home without permission around 4 p.m., police said.
The alleged burglar, identified as Aufiero, was confronted by the homeowner and then left the house, police said.
Witnesses said there was a second white man outside the home waiting for Aufiero, police said.
Police immediately checked the area, but both individuals were gone, police said.Â
