The Whitpain Police Department, in coordination with the Central Montgomery County SWAT Team, will host a training exercise on June 2 at Mermaid Lake. Training will take place between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.

 The training exercise will occur in a few vacant buildings in the fenced-off portion of the Mermaid property. Police activity in these areas is for training only. Signs will be posted to alert pedestrians and motorists.
