Whitpain Township: Safety Tips For Consumer Fireworks

The Fire Marshal has a friendly reminder about the use of consumer fireworks.

Since 2017, changes in state law allow consumers to purchase and use "Class C" or "consumer grade" fireworks that include firecrackers, roman candles, bottle rockets and similar fireworks that contain a maximum of 50 milligrams of explosive material. These fireworks are not toys and have very serious safety consequences.
