Wissahickon Firefighter Michael Logan Passes Away Suddenly

AMBLER, PA — Wissahickon firefighter Michael Logan passed away suddenly on Wednesday, the fire company said.

"Mike was a dedicated person who was a friend to us all and an upstanding member of our community," the fire company said in a statement. "One who chose to run into danger rather than run away. He was a true volunteer. Peace be your journey home Michael, you will be missed. We will take it from here."

The manner of his death was not released by officials.

Logan also worked as an engineer and fire police officer.

Details on funeral arrangements will be provided as they become available.
