Wissahickon Ranked Among Best High Schools In PA: U.S. News
Once again, Wissahickon High School has been ranked among the state's best. Here's how it stacked up:
AMBLER, PA — Once again, Wissahickon High School placed among the top schools in Pennsylvania, according to a new ranking from U.S. News and World Report.
The school ranked 13th overall in the state in the latest ranking, which compares more than 17,800 public high schools nationwide.
Wissahickon placed second in Montgomery County, trailing only Lower Merion, which was 10th in the state.

Nearby, other high ranking Montgomery County schools included Lower Moreland placed 23rd, Spring-Ford 31st, Upper Dublin 38th, and Plymouth-Whitemarsh 46th.
The top 600 included 15 schools from across Pennsylvania. Just two cracked the top 50. The top-ranked Pennsylvania school was Philadelphia's Julia Masterman Academy, coming in at 18th overall. It was followed by Downingtown STEM at 34th; these were the only schools that cracked the top 200 in the national ranking.

The methodology used for this year's ranking focused on six factors: college readiness, reading and math proficiency, reading and math performance, underserved student performance, college curriculum breadth and graduation rates.
