Wissahickon, St. Helena Schools Closed Friday

All schools and district offices in the Wissahickon School District will be closed Friday because of the winter storm, the district announced on its website.

St. Helena School in Blue Bell also is closed Friday.

The winter storm was expected to blanket the area with snow, followed by biting cold. The winter storm warning is in effect until 1 p.m. Friday, the National Weather Service said.
