Woman Sentenced To 6 To 12 Years In Prison For Ambler Shooting

The 24-year-old pleaded guilty to shooting a man in the leg in Ambler.

AMBLER, PA — A 24-year-old woman who shot and wounded a man in Ambler earlier this spring has been sentenced to state prison.

Alicia Ross pleaded guilty to aggravated assault persons not to possess a firearm on April 8 in the Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas. The judge ordered her to spend 6 to 12 years behind bars.

The incident occurred back on Friday, March 27 at around 1:30 p.m. on the 200 block of N. Bethlehem Pike.

Ross shot the man in the leg before fleeing the scene, according to police.

An investigation led authorities to Ross, who was taken into custody on Monday, April 27.

Following her arrest, Ambler police said they executed multiple search warrants, which resulted in the discovery of an assault rifle and a handgun.
