Yoga 4 Cancer introductory class offered August 30 at Ambler Y
Doylestown yoga instructor teaches specialized yoga that assists in recovery from cancer and its treatments.
Learn how a specialized yoga methodology can assist with your cancer recovery and help improve your general well-being following cancer treatments by participating in an introductory class offered by Doylestown yoga instructor Joan Rosetsky at the Ambler YMCA on Sunday, August 30, 1:30-3pm.
Participants must pre-register for the class, which is free to Ambler Y members and their guests, through Daxko at the Ambler Y Welcome Center, 1325 McKean Road, Ambler, PA 19002.
Joan Rosetsky of Doylestown recently expanded her yoga repertoire by completing training in the nationally recognized Yoga 4 Cancer (y4c™) program. An Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT®-500), she has been studying, practicing and teaching yoga throughout Bucks County since 2000 and has been a member of the Yoga Alliance since 2004.

“This Yoga 4 Cancer class introduces participants to a yoga practice tailored to address the specific physical and emotional needs that cancer and its treatments create,” says Ms. Rosetsky.
“Although yoga is known for its gentleness and restorative characteristics, we will go further, focusing on how to stimulate the immune system through movement, improve flexibility and strength, reduce anxiety and fatigue and boost overall well-being.”

Along with her newest certification, Ms. Rosetsky is an approved Wellness Provider with the Unite for HER organization. In partnership with local hospitals, Unite for HER hosts wellness day events that introduce breast cancer patients to complementary therapies that can help them become fully restored. Attendees meet with nutrition, massage, yoga, meditation and acupuncture professionals to learn more about strategies that will support their health and wellness. Unite for HER also offers grants to those wanting alternative health options as they undergo treatments and during recovery.
