Bala Cynwyd Man Rings NASDAQ Opening Bell

Ronald Robbins, a Bala Cynwyd resident and board member on The Parkinson Council, rang the NASDAQ opening bell in Times Square on Monday morning.

Robbins was there to represent The Parkinson Council, a Bala Cynwyd-based charity committed to supporting people with Parkinson's disease, according to a press release. April is National Parkinson’s Disease Awareness Month.

"Throughout the month of April, organizations and individuals across the country will work together to raise awareness of Parkinson’s disease – which affects 1.6 million people in the U.S., with more than 50,000 new patients diagnosed each year," the organization said in a press release.
