Charles Barkley Visits Bala Cynwyd Pizza Shop Tuesday

BALA CYNWYD, PA – The Main Line is no stranger to celebrities. And on Tuesday a Philly favorite stopped by a Bala Cynwyd pizza shop and posed for a photo with the workers.

NBA legend Charles Barkley was at SNAP Custom Pizza on City Avenue in Bala Cynwyd Tuesday.

Employees at the pizza place were able to snap – pardon the pun – a photo with Barkley.

From 1984 to 1991, Barkley played with the Philadelphia 76ers. The team drafted Barkley as the fifth pick in the first round of the NBA draft.

Barkley's passion for Philly didn't seem to end in 1991 either.

The hoops star turned broadcaster with some solid comedy chops was seen in Philadelphia following the Eagles Super Bowl win. In what became a viral moment, Barkley said he was going to go get drunk to celebrate the Birds' win.

Then following Villanova's 2018 NCAA Championship victory, he predicted the Sixers would win the NBA Championship. But sadly Simmons, Embiid, Reddick, and the rest of the squad fell to the Boston Celtics 4-1 in the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
