State health officials said Sunday that Pennsylvania now has 479 cases in 33 counties. Two people in the state have died from the virus.

"The Lower Merion/Narberth area is now experiencing community spread of the virus and testing has become much more available," the district said. "Therefore, we expect many additional reports of positive tests in the LMSD community in the coming days and weeks. This is consistent with what is happening nationally."

Nurses in the district are available to answer questions and address concerns during the school closure. Email the nurse at your child’s school, and they will respond to your question or concern.
