Lane Closing On City Avenue Next Week

Drainage improvement work on City Avenue will close lanes along the road next week, according to PennDOT.

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — Lane closures are planned on City Avenue in Lower Merion Township next week for drainage improvements, PennDOT said.

The City Avenue Special Services District will close single lanes on City Avenue/U.S. Route 1 from Monday to Friday next week due to the work.

Drivers will see lane closures between Orchard Road and 53rd Street.

Closures will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., for drainage improvements.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and delays will occur.

The schedule is weather dependent.
