Learn To Build a Rain Garden In Narberth Thursday
The Lower Merion Conservancy is hosting a free workshop that will teach attendees how to harness stormwater for their garden's benefit.
NARBERTH, PA — You can learn how to harness stormwater to help make your garden flourish at a free workshop and lecture in Narberth Thursday.
From 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 10, the Lower Merion Conservancy is hosting a free lecture about the important, but overlooked, environmental issue of stormwater runoff at Narberth Borough Hall, 100 Conway Ave.
Following the lecture, attendees will see stormwater and pollution projects in action on the Delmont Avenue Green Street at our volunteer workday on Saturday, Oct. 12.

Attendees will learn about how the landscape creates stormwater pollution and will hear solutions to help solve this problem through simple landscape changes, the use of rain barrels, native plants, and rain gardens.
Participants of the workshop will leave with a basic understanding of watershed hydrology, how historic development has contributed to stormwater pollution, and how simple changes can help small and large property owners deal with flooding and stormwater pollution.
