Looters Hit Bala Cynwyd Shopping Center Stores
Lower Merion Police said looters made their way to City Avenue Wednesday night, breaking into businesses at the Bala Shopping Center.
BALA CYNWYD, PA — The looting in Philadelphia spilled onto the Main Line Wednesday night, according to Lower Merion Police.
Police said several businesses on City Avenue were broken into Wednesday.
At about 9:50 p.m., burglaries occurred at several businesses in the Bala Shopping Center in Bala Cynwyd.

After getting inside the businesses, the burglars stole an unknown amount of merchandise from the stores.
Action News reports break-ins occurred at other businesses on City Avenue, including Rite Aid and Lord & Taylor.

Lower Merion Police said they have ramped up patrols along City Avenue and the rest of the township in response to the looting and violence in Philadelphia.
