Dear LMSD Families,
Find out what's happening in Narberth-Bala Cynwydfor free with the latest updates from Patch.
As I mentioned in my presentation to the Lower Merion Board of School Directors Monday night, our staff members who have not yet been vaccinated will have the opportunity to receive the Johnson and Johnson single-dose COVID-19 vaccine in the coming days.
Due to the timing of the appointments assigned to LMSD by the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit and the number of staff – including teachers, administrators, bus drivers, instructional aides, campus aides and other support staff – who need to be vaccinated in a short period of time and due to the possibility that some, if not many, may experience side effects after vaccination, all LMSD students will have a virtual asynchronous day on Monday, March 15, 2021.

I realize that this is a rather sudden schedule change that may cause some inconvenience on Monday, but I hope you'll agree that this opportunity to protect the health of our staff and the larger community going forward is worth the disruption.
Sincerely,
Robert L. CopelandSuperintendent
