Maskless Fines Repealed, State Of Emergency Lifted In Narberth
The $15 fine for not wearing masks has been repealed and the state of emergency has been lifted, opening basketball courts and bathrooms.
NARBERTH, PA — You'll no longer be fined for not wearing a mask in Narberth Borough.
The borough council repealed the mask ordinance it passed back in October last year.
A $15 fine was imposed after a verbal warning for anyone not wearing a mask inside or on the grounds of any business; inside or on any borough owned or controlled publicly accessible building, park, playground, field, or open space; on any public street or sidewalk in the 5a Downtown District or 5b Montgomery Avenue District of the Borough Zoning Map; while working at a business or in any jobs when workers/employees are expected to be in contact with any member of the public; and while working at a business at times when preparing, serving, or packaging food and/or beverage for public consumption.

Despite the ordinance being repealed, businesses can still require masks for customers.
Additionally, Mayor Andrea Deutsch lifted the borough's state of emergency.

That means basketball courts and outdoor bathrooms in Narberth Park are open again and gathering restrictions outside are no longer in effect.
