Narberth Avenue Bridge Closing To Vehicles Due To Deterioration

The bridge will be closed to all vehicular traffic until further notice as the supporting structures beneath​ deteriorate, officials said.

NARBERTH, PA — The Narberth Avenue Bridge is closing to vehicles Friday morning until further notice due to deterioration, officials said.

The bridge will close at 9 a.m. Friday, March 8 as the sidewalks and supporting structures beneath deteriorate.

Pedestrian traffic is permitted on the bridge during the vehicular closure, however.

"Prior to any action to reopen the bridge we want to make sure that conditions are safe," Narberth officials said. "The Borough Engineer's bridge inspection team is currently on site and the Borough will take next steps once those results are delivered."
