The ordinance requires all people to wear masks inside or on the grounds of any business; inside or on any borough owned or controlled publicly accessible building, park, playground, field, or open space; on any public street or sidewalk in the 5a Downtown District or 5b Montgomery Avenue District of the Borough Zoning Map; while working at a business or in any jobs when workers/employees are expected to be in contact with any member of the public; and while working at a business at times when preparing, serving, or packaging food and/or beverage for public consumption.

Additionally, anyone responsible for a business that doesn't comply with the ordinance will be given a verbal warning for a first offense. After, that person will be subject to a civil penalty $50 for a second offense and $100 for a third and any subsequent offense.
There are a slew of exceptions to the ordinance, however.
Masks aren't required in homes, vehicles, while seated at a restaurant to eat and drink, sports practices and games, and more. People with diagnosed medical, mental health, or disabilities and those with religious beliefs that prevent masks will not be required to wear masks, as well.
The ordinance will end when the Narberth Borough Council ends its emergency disaster declaration.
