Pedestrian Killed On City Ave Identified, Investigation Ongoing
Charges haven't been filed in the fatal pedestrian strike that occurred on City Avenue last week, but police are still probing the crash.

NARBERTH, PA — Police in Lower Merion Township have identified the person who was struck and killed by a vehicle on City Avenue last week.
Police identified the pedestrian as Robert Ashley Meyers, 56, of Narberth.
Meyers was struck while out running on City Avenue April 28.

Police said the incident is still under investigation by the Lower Merion Traffic Safety Unit.
"We are in the process of reviewing all of the evidence that was collected," police told Patch.

No charges have been filed and the striking driver has been cooperating with police.
The incident occurred at about 9 a.m. Tuesday, April 28
Meyers was out for a run and was struck while running across City Avenue, north of Overbrook Parkway.
He was treated by paramedics, then taken to Lankenau Medical Center where he died.
Police initially were unable to identify Meyers, as he did not have a cell phone, wallet, or any other ways to be identified on him at the time of the incident.
