'Slow Learners' Playing at Bryn Mawr; Director Q&A Friday Night

Sheena M. Joyce, co-director of the film, will appear Friday night to discuss it

Slow Learners, the new romantic comedy from local filmmakers Don Argott and Sheena M. Joyce, opens this Friday at Bryn Mawr Film Institute- and Joyce will be on hand for a Q&A Friday night.

The film stars Adam Pally (from Happy Endings and The Mindy Project) and Sarah Burns as “two friends unskilled in the world of romance… [who] embark on a bawdy, party-fueled journey in the hopes of trading their awkward dispositions for heartbreaking hipness.”

Arnott is also the director of Art of the Steal, the 2009 documentary about the transfer of the Barnes Collection from Merion to the city; Joyce was producer of that film.

Joyce, a graduate of Bryn Mawr College, will do a Q&A after the 7 p.m. showing Friday, with producers Tammy Tiehel-Stedman and Jamie Lokoff conducting one after the 7 p.m. screening Saturday. The film will run once a day through next Thursday.
