The Week Ahead: 5 Things to Know

1. PennDOT highway sweeping will mean shoulder closures along the Schuylkill Expressway all week.
2. Special Board of Commissioners and Planning & Building Committee meeting will be held on Monday at 6:15 p.m. Lower Merion's Planning Commission will tackle a few agenda items including the hours of operation for commercial businesses in proximity to residential areas and the consideration of the reimbursement and extension of the Anchor Building grant with the Bryn Mawr Film Institute.

3. Starting Thursday, The Lower Merion Players will present the spring comedy "Moon Over Buffalo" with three performances on May 2, May 3 and May 4 at 7 p.m. in the Lower Merion High School auditorium. Get your tickets here.
4. Clean-up Weekend is this weekend—bring your unwanted refuse and recyclables (household appliances, textiles, plastic, glass, newsprint, and plain old trash) without charge to the Lower Merion Public Works Complex at 1300 N Woodbine Avenue, Penn Valley. Proof of residency is required.

5. On Saturday starting at 8 a.m., St. Asaph's Church's will hold its second annual Rummage and Arts & Crafts Fair. The event will feature sale tables of local crafts, fine art, wood-crafts, and flea market items in excellent condition, including childrens’ clothing and toys, jewelry and accessories, decorative gifts and homewares. All proceeds will benefit St. Asaph’s community outreach projects that support Philabundance, ElderNet of Lower Merion & Narberth, North Light Community Center, Just Children Daycare Center, St. James Middle School, and Taggart Elementary School.
