Township Holding Household Hazardous Waste Collection
These are items that cannot be disposed of in the trash, the township said.

Lower Merion Township will be holding a household hazardous waste collection this weekend.
Items may be dropped off between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 19, at the Public Works Complex, 1300 N. Woodbine Ave. in Penn Valley.

- Automotive products (motor oil, transmission fluid, brake fluid, antifreeze, gasoline, kerosene)
- Household products (drain and oven cleaners, spot remover, dry cleaning fluid, rug cleaner)
- Paint products (paint thinner, turpentine, oil-based paint, furniture stripper)
- Pesticides/herbicides
- Miscellaneous (dyes, lighter fluid, photographic chemicals, swimming pool cleaners, concrete sealers)
These are items that cannot be disposed of in the trash, the township said.
Latex paint, electronics, explosives, infectious biologically-active wastes, large pressurized containers, radioactive material, household batteries and tires cannot be dropped off, the township said.
