Upcoming Blood Drive In Narberth
The Red Cross's Missing Types campaign to raise awareness of missing blood types on hospital shelves, adversely affecting patient care.
NARBERTH, PA — The American Red Cross has launched its Missing Types campaign to raise awareness for lifesaving blood donations and urge the public to make an appointment to give blood or this summer. And you have a chance soon to give blood in Narberth.
To draw attention that blood types sometimes do go missing from hospital shelves, A’s, B’s and O’s began disappearing on June 11 from iconic brand logos, social media pages, signs and websites as part of the Missing Types campaign, which raise awareness of the need for more blood donors.
The Narberth drive will be held from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3 at St. Margaret School, 227 N. Narberth Ave.

While thousands of blood donors have answered the call to fill the Missing Types, more donors are needed now to help ensure patients don’t have to wait for blood products.
During the summer, especially around holidays like Independence Day, donations often don’t keep pace with patient needs.
