Is This Really Pennsylvania's Ugliest Building?

At least it's not a gigantic picnic basket, like another on the list of America's ugliest buildings.

A new Business Insider report looks at the good, the bad, and the ugly in terms of architecture in the United States.

Well, maybe just the ugly.

The publication asked readers to name the ugliest buildings in each state. "Every town across the United States likely has a tower, a government complex, or an office building that residents wish never went up," Business Insider says in its story.

The readers' picks ranges from a giant picnic basket serving as a business headquarters to some well-known landmarks like Madison Square Garden, Boston City Hall and The Museum of Pop Culture in Seattle.

For Pennsylvania, the ugliest selected is none other than the Aramark Tower in Philadelphia. The building, located at 1101 Market Street in Center City, has 32 floors.

As Curbed Philadelphia reports, Aramark is moving its headquarters from the tower to a new location in Philadelphia. The building will be leased by Jefferson. The hospital's 16-year lease starts Jan. 1, 2019, according to Curbed.

"Dishonorable" mentions in Pennsylvania also included the GSB Building in Bala Cynwyd and the Wesley W. Posvar Hall at the University of Pittsburgh.

Other regional buildings on the list included the American Dream mall now under construction in New Jersey's Meadowlands and the Watergate Complex in DC, which one reader called "Washington, DC's white whale."

We personally enjoy The Longaberger headquarters in Newark, Ohio. The building looks like a gigantic picnic basket.
