Angelo Trilli, 91, Navy Veteran, Bethlehem Steel Machinist

He was husband to Marie for more than 50 years; liked tending to vegetable garden.

Angelo S. Trilli, 91, of Bethlehem, died on Saturday.

Born in Bethlehem on October 25, 1921, he was the son of the late Pasquale and Rose (Fogliolo) Trilli. He was the husband of the late Marie (Dodig) Trilli who died in 2003; they were married more than 50 years.

Angelo worked as a machinist for the Bethlehem Steel for 43 years. He proudly served his country during World War II in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Bethlehem.

In his youth he loved playing various sports. In his retirement years he rooted for all the local sports teams, spent time tending his vegetable garden and enjoyed playing the slot machines. Above all, he loved his family and friends.

He is survived by his children, Christine, wife of Mark Cudo, Eileen, wife of Jim Muschlitz, Michael Trilli and wife, Nancy, Angela Trilli-Braun, and Monica Trilli and companion, Keith Correll; brother, Joseph Trilli; grandchildren, Jude, Jaret, Jessica, Jade, Tanner and Michael; and great granddaughter, Ivy.

He was preceded in death by his brother, George.

Viewing hours will be held at the Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and again on Thursday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. A 10 a.m. Mass of Christian burial will follow at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 416 E. Fifth St. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.
