Chesterbrook Academy Donates 800 Items for Those in Need

Students helped sort essential items they collected for the Sixth Street Shelter in Allentown

Students at Chesterbrook Academy Preschool in Bethlehem recently participated in the Morning Call’s 18th annual “Be an Angel Campaign” to collect essential items for the Sixth Street Shelter in Allentown. Students worked together to collect more than 800 diapers, 41 toiletry items, paper products, cleaning products, sheets, pillows, shower curtains and toys. Students helped sort their donations to prepare them for delivery to the shelter. Through this initiative, students learned the importance of being good citizens and helping others, especially during the holiday season.

The Sixth Street Shelter strives to provide the opportunity and direction for all people to become self-sufficient and productive members of the community.
