Cops: Pennsylvania Woman Threw Baby Into River, Then Jumped In
Police have charged the mother, who has not been identified, with attempted homicide after they say she threw the baby off the bridge.

A 19-year-old mother and her baby survived after she allegedly threw the child off a bridge into a Pennsylvania river on Sunday in a possible attempted murder-suicide, police said.

Witnesses said they saw the woman pushing her 1-year-old in a stroller when she tossed the baby boy into the Lehigh River around 1:45 pm. Seconds later, she jumped, too, the report said.

Rescuers found the baby 700 yards down stream, and performed CPR. The woman was found unconscious under the bridge, according to the report. The baby and mother were listed in serious condition and both expected to survive.
It’s not known if charges will be filed against the mother, who has not been identified by police, according to the report.
