Events Postponed, Canceled Due to Winter Storm

Winter weather has forced several events to be postponed or at least altered today in Bethlehem.

The 54th annual Christmas Peace Pilgrimage shortened its traditional route and its daylong program. Instead of walking from Nazareth to Bethlehem, pilgrims are limiting their walk to the interior of Bethlehem and wrapping up at Christ UCC Church at 3:30 p.m.

A candlelight vigil that had been planned to mark the first anniversary of the shooting deaths of 20 children and six teachers at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn. has been postponed until 3 p.m. Sunday at Payrow Plaza.

XFE Cage Wars, a slate of mixed martial arts fighting scheduled for 7 p.m. tonight at the Sands Bethlehem Event Center, has been postponed. More information regarding rescheduled dates and tickets will be made available at a later date.

Godfrey Daniels has canceled its scheduled show tonight with The Nighthawks. A new date for an appearance by the American roots music band will be announced at a later date, according to the club’s website.
