Man Stabbed After Answering Door in Township, Police Say

A Bethlehem Township man answered his doorbell early Friday to a stranger who stabbed him in the stomach, according to published reports.

The assailant, described in The Morning Call as a 6-foot-tall black man, wearing jeans and black hoodie, said nothing before the stabbing.

He then fled east of the apartment on the 6000 block of William Penn Highway toward a park-and-ride lot, the newspaper said.

The 42-year-old victim was taken to the St. Luke’s Hospital Anderson Campus in the township, but the stab wound was not considered life-threatening, according to The Express Times.
