Sacred Heart Chaplain & Knights Recognized for Community Service

Father Bob George and past Grand Knights of the Knights of Columbus of Sacred Heart Council 15682 are honored.

On Monday, November 18, the Knights of Columbus of Sacred Heart Council 15682 honored Father Bob George of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Bethlehem and recognized all past Grand Knights for their service to the parish and community.

The Sacred Heart Council performs various works of community service, including:

  • Raising $45,790.38 over the past six years to benefit the Cay Galgon LifeHouse that supports homeless moms and babies
  • Offering dozens of new, free winter coats to local children in need
  • Supporting men studying to be ordained as new priests in the Catholic faith
  • Helping the Miller-Keystone Blood Center save lives through an annual blood drive
  • Delivering turkeys and food baskets to the less fortunate at Thanksgiving, and collecting non-perishable food items for food pantries throughout the year
  • Sponsoring annual scholarships for students attending Notre Dame High School of Bethlehem with funds raised by their monthly used book sale.
