Traditions of Hanover Makes Donation to Help Government Workers

Donations collected for federal government workers at Lehigh Valley International Airport

Surpassing 30 days, the partial government shutdown may not impede operations at Traditions of Hanover, an independent living community for seniors in Hanover Township, but that doesn’t mean the residents and staff aren’t sympathetic for the federal workers and their families that are barely scrapping by.

“Traditions of Hanover prides itself on giving back to our community. We understand the importance of people coming together to support one another during difficult times. We appreciate the hard work and dedication of our government employees and this is a small way for us to show our gratitude for all they do,” said Megan Sedlock, marketing director at Traditions of Hanover.

With bags of canned goods, toiletries, and other essentials in hand, Sedlock and Marisa Leaser, director of resident life and case management, set out to the Lehigh Valley International Airport on Wednesday in hopes to “Fill the Bus.” Traditions of Hanover delivered 10 bags filled with non-perishable items, diapers, wipes, and even dog food!
