Alleged Love Letters Land North Strabane Man in Jail

North Strabane police charged a township man with harassment after he allegedly left love letters for a woman on Wylie Avenue last week.

And the charge against Randall Ray, 36, landed him in the Washington County Jail Thursday.

Police said he had left two letters for a woman who lives on Wylie Avenue, according to the Observer-Reporter newspaper.

Online court records show this was the second harassment charge lodged against Ray last week. North Strabane Township police had also filed a harassment charge on June 24.

Ray was arraigned before district Judge Larry Hopkins and remanded to the Washington County Jail after being unable to post a $25,000 bond, court records show.

He is scheduled to appear before district Judge Jay Weller July 9 for a preliminary hearing.
