Big Mac Lacrosse Team Loses to Quaker Valley

The team will finish its 2013 season this week with two games on the road.

The Canon-McMillan High School lacrosse team completed its home schedule Friday night with a loss to the Quaker Valley Quakers by a final of 13-7. The Big Macs finish their 2013 season with two road games this week against Greater Latrobe and Chartiers Valley.

Canon-Mac dug an early game hole, falling behind 4-0 before four minutes had elapsed in the first quarter. Late period goals by Nick Carr, Evan Crompton and Ben Ward closed the deficit within a goal but that was as close to the Quakers that Canon-McMillan would get for the rest of the contest. The visitors scored eight of the next nine goals and by the middle of the third quarter the Big Macs fate had been sealed.

Ward and Carr would end up with two goals each for the Big Macs while single tallies were contributed by Connor Niemeyer and Isaac Miles. The loss drops the Canon-McMillan record to 11-5 overall and 1-3
in Division2 – Section 2 play.
