Blotter: Hit-and-Run Reported and Medication Stolen

Canonsburg police are investigating a hit-and-run crash that happened early Sunday morning.

Kaylee Marie Kovac, of Smithfield Street, told police that she was woken up by a neighbor who heard a loud crash outside.

The neighbor told Kovac that she saw a minivan fleeing the scene and that she "could also hear tires screeching and viewed there was significant damage to the front of the van.

Meanwhile, Kovac's vehicle sustained damage to the front passenger side—and the bumper was knocked off and lying on the ground.

Police checked the area but were unable to locate a minivan with damage.

Medication Reported Stolen
Shari Popula of Muse told Canonsburg police on Sunday that her purse was stolen while she was at Town Park.

Popula said she went back to the park and looked in the bathroom, where she discovered her purse in the garbage.

Missing from the purse was medication and her social security card.
