Canon-McMillan School Board Accepts Retirements of 15 Teachers
Combined, the retiring teachers have 450 years of experience.

Canon-McMillan School Board on Monday accepted the retirements of 15 teachers who represent 450 years of teaching experience.
The retirees include:

- Barbara Bell from her position as a special education teacher at Cecil Elementary School after 14 years with the district.
- Ricki DeBlasio from her position as a special education teacher at Canonsburg Middle School after 20 years with the district.
- Roberta DeJohn from her position as a reading support teacher at Wylandvile Elementary School after 35 years with the district.
- Kathleen Durko from her position as third-grade teacher at South Central Elementary School after 20 years with the district.
- Diane Felton from her position as a high school English teacher after 34 years with the district.
- Jamie Gmiter from her position as a high school social studies teacher after 28 years with the district.
- Mary Maslanik from her position as a second-grade teacher at Muse Elementary after 35 years with the district.
- Mary Matus from her position as a high school physical education teacher after 35 years with the district.
- Dale Porter from his position as a mathematics teacher at Canonsburg Middle School after 35 years with the district.
- Kathleen Rheam from her position as a high school business teacher after 36 years with the district.
- Gary Ruozzi from his position as a high school mathematics teacher after 37 years with the district.
- Perry Weightman from his position as a high school technology education teacher after 29 years with the district.
- Beverly White from her position as a sixth-grade teacher at North Strabane Intermediate after 39 years with the district.
- Judith Young from her position as a high school mathematics teacher after more than 25 years with the district.
- Frank Zuzek from his position as a high school science teacher after 42 years with the district.
