Canon-McMillan School Board: Who Are You Voting for, and Why?
Tell us which candidates you're backing in the May 21 primary.

Four sitting Canon-McMillan school directors are hoping to retain their posts on the local school board, and one newcomer is also seeking a seat.
There are four open seats on the board—two out of Canonsburg Borough and one each from North Strabane and Cecil townships.
Current board President Darla Bowman-Monaco has cross-filed as both a Democrat and a Republican and is seeking nomination for the Cecil seat. Another candidate, Ronald Vrana, is seeking the Republican nomination for that seat. Vrana did not cross-file.

Fellow current school directors Eric Kline and Paul Scarmazzi are also seeking re-election. Both have cross-filed and are seeking to secure the Democratic and Republican nominations for the open Canonsburg seats.
Current school director Zeffie Carroll is also seeking re-election. Carroll is looking for the Democratic nomination for the North Strabane seat. No Republicans will appear on the ballot for that seat.
