The office has been vacant since former borough manager Terry Hazlett retired from his post in Canonsburg last month.
But his old office will soon be occupied.
Canonsburg Council has scheduled a special meeting at 7 p.m. Monday to hire the successful candidate for the position.
The meeting will be held in council chambers. It is open to the public.
Council had intended to meet to discuss the position and possibly make a hire this past Monday.
However, it was announced at the meeting that an executive session would be held but that no official action would be taken because proper public notice had not been given.
The state Sunshine Law requires government entities to give public notice of special or rescheduled meeting within 24 hours of it taking place.
