Canonsburg Man Jailed for Alleged Burglary of Beer Store
Jason Chadwick of Canonsburg was jailed after being unable to post a $100,000 bond set by district Judge Jay Weller.

A Canonsburg man was jailed Friday after being charged with burglary, conspiracy, theft and criminal mischief.
South Strabane police said Jason Chadwick, 38, was responsible for a burglary at The Beer Store located at 746 Locust Ave. in the township.
Police said officers were summoned to the business when an alarm was activated at 4:05 a.m. Wednesday.
When officers arrived they noticed that the glass door to the closed business had been busted out.
The surveillance video showed that a gold Ford Taurus drove stopped in front of the door when a man later identified as Chadwick got exited the passenger side, threw a large rock through the glass door and entered the store.
Police said the video then shows the man placing cartons of cigarettes and a 30-pack of Miller Lite into a black bag before leaving.Â
Officers said he was wearing a dark, long-sleeved shirt, dark gloves, shorts, white tennis shoes and a light-colored baseball hat with a blue bandana obscuring the lower part of his face.
The items taken from the store were valued at $684.31. The cost to repair the broken door was $440, according to court documents.
On Thursday, police located the vehicle seen in the video—one that was owned by Debra Cianflone, who later admitted to picking up Chadwick and driving him to the store.
Cianflone was charged with conspiracy, theft and receiving stolen property, arraigned and remanded to jail after being unable to post a $25,000 bond.
Police apprehended Chadwick at his brother's Duquesne Avenue home in Canonsburg.
Township and borough officers executed a search warrant there, and arrested Chadwick after officers discovered him hiding under a bed, according to a Canonsburg police report.
Police said Chadwick was dragged out after refusing to present himself to officers.
Officers found a baggie with two 8 mg Suboxon strips, two stamp bags of suspected heroin and seven prescription pills.
Canonsburg police will charge him with three counts of possession, and one count each of resisting arrest and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to a report.Â
Chadwick was arraigned on the charges out of South Strabane Friday before district Judge Jay Weller, who set a $100,000 bond.
He is scheduled to appear Friday before Weller for a preliminary hearing, according to online court records.
