Canonsburg Man Wanted for Escaping Prison Captured in New Jersey

A Canonsburg man wanted for escaping from the Somerset County Prison in 2005 was captured in Hopatcong, NJ, according to WTAJ.

Wayne Schmidt, 51, escaped while being escorted between the Somerset County Prison and the work release center, according to the report. 

Schmidt had been using a fake name to alude authorities.
