Cecil Police Charge Township Man With Making Threat Against Supervisor Candidate
The man is being charged with one count of making terroristic threats.

Cecil police have charged a township man with threatening a candidate for supervisor.
Police said Merl E. Williams, of Reissing Road, on Monday said he alone was responsible for the phone call.
Police said he called Fisher on May 5 and left a lengthy message in which it was suggested that she would need an ambulance the next time she was knocking on doors for her campaign.

"You should be ashamed of yourself," he said in the message.
Police obtained a search warrant of Fisher's phone records, and discovered that the number associated with the threatening message came from the land line of David Martincic.

Williams, who lives with Martincic, was charged with one count of making terroristic threats. The charge will proceed by summons.
Police said Williams told investigators he was upset over things posted on the Facebook site associated with Fisher's campaign for a Cecil Township supervisor seat.
Police said Williams indicated the phone call was made in "the heat of the moment."
