Cecil Police Charging Township Man With Possession of Heroin, Resisting Arrest
The charges stem from a foot chase Tuesday.

Cecil police are charging a township man with possession of heroin and resisting arrest after he reportedly led officers and state constables on a foot chase Tuesday.
Police said officers were summoned by state constables around 2:10 p.m. Tuesday after they attempted to serve a warrant on Nicholas Marino for failure to report to his probation officer.
But they needed assistance when Marino encountered the constables at 45 Ridgewood Drive and the man ran back into the house and fled through a back door.

Police said Marino led police on a chase that ended without incident on Sandalwood Drive.
However, police said that as Marino was running, officers noted that he had thrown something from his right pants pocket.

Officers recovered the item—a baggie with bundles of suspected heroin. There were 40 total suspected stamp bags of the drug, police said.
Constables transported Marino to the Washington County Jail. The possession and resisting arrest charges will proceed by summons, police said.
