CMS Symphonic Band Earns Top Honor at Invitational
The band was judged at the highest standard—superior.
After weeks of getting up early for 7 a.m. rehearsals, members of the Canonsburg Middle School Symphonic Band enjoyed the fruit of their labor—a top ranking in the Grand National Adjudicators Invitational Dixie Classic.
A select ensemble of seventh- and eighth-grade students, under the director of band director Paul Rush, competed in the classic—held in Chattanooga, TN—this past weekend.

Want to hear more? The community is invited to enjoy an evening with the Canonsburg Middle School Symphonic Band, along with the Canonsburg Middle School Concert Band, as they perform with international composer Robert Buckley at their spring concert.
It will be held at 7 p.m. on May 9 in the Canonsburg Middle School auditorium.
