Criminal Mischief to Canonsburg Home, Car Reported

A home and car were both damaged following separate incidents this past weekend.

A Canonsburg man told borough police on Friday that it seems like his car gets keyed every night.

Ryan Schwingel, of Giffin Avenue, told police that his girlfriend had made a report on Thursday morning that their vehicle had been looked through.

It was only later, he told police, that he realized that it had been keyed down one side, as well.

Then Friday morning he discovered that it had again been keyed.

Schwingel, who drives a 1998 Mustang, requested police step up patrols in the area.

Then on Saturday morning, Ed Malinowski reported criminal mischief at his mother's Tannehill Street home.

He said his mother had heard two loud noises outside and called him to check and see what had happened.

Malinowski said that when he arrived, he discovered that someone had thrown two jars of spaghetti sauce at the front door of her home—and that is was splattered on the porch and the front of the house.

Malinowski told officers that a neighbor heard the jars hit the house and saw two juveniles run away down a nearby alley.

No further information on either incident was immediately available on Monday.
