Election Guide: Who's on the Ballot in Canonsburg, Cecil and North Strabane
Before you head to the polls, get a handle on who's on the ballot for your local elections.

Local Democratic and Republican candidates are seeking nomination for positions on municipal boards today.
If you live in Canonsburg, you will be voting for both a mayor and members of council.
There are four seats on Canonsburg Council that will be up for grabs in November's general election—with four Democrats and one Republican vying for nomination in the primary.

Incumbent Councilman Paul Sharkady, a retired police officer, is seeking the Democratic nomination for a four-year at-large seat. Joshua Czemerda, an insurance salesman, is seeking the Republican nomination for the post.
In the First Ward, there is both a four-year term and a two-year term open.

Incumbent Councilwoman Patricia Romano, is seeking re-election to the four-year post. Also seeking the democratic nomination for this post is Stephen Moskal, owner of Masters Ink in the borough, and John Severine, a retired National Guard veteran.
Severine and Moskal are also facing off for the Democratic nod for the two-year term in the May 21 primary.
No Republicans will appear on the ballot for these races.
In the Third Ward, Sharkady is seeking the Democratic nomination for a four-year term.
No Republicans will be on the ballot for this term.
In the borough mayoral race, David H. Rhome will face off against Tracy Lee Weishner, a fellow Democrat.
Three democrats are vying for a spot on the Cecil Township Board of Supervisors.
Supervisor Mike Debbis is not seeking re-election to his post, and Frank Egizio, James Passieu and Cindy Fisher are all vying for the democratic nomination in the May 21 primary.
There are no Republicans on the ballot, according to information provided by the Washington County Elections Office.
As for North Strabane Township?
One Democrat incumbent and one Republican who was formerly a supervisor are running for board seats in North Strabane Township this year.
Current board chairman Steve Motzer, who's six-year term will be up at the end of 2013, is not seeking re-election.
That means that both a two-year term and a six-year term will be up for grabs in the November 2013 general election.
Supervisor Bill Brooks, a retired General Electric employee, is seeking the Democratic nomination for both seats in the May 21 primary, while former supervisor Rob Balogh, a network administrator, is seeking the Republican nomination for both seats.
