Girl Scouts Blood Drive in Canonsburg Quickly Approaching

Girl Scout Troop 53535 is asking local residents to roll up their sleeves and donate blood during its upcoming drive.

The troop will be hosting the drive at Canonsburg United Presbyterian Church, located at 112 W. Pike St. in the borough from noon to 6 p.m. Wednesday, June 12.

Organizers remind potential donors that individuals who are 17 (16 with parental permission), meet weight and height requirements (110 pounds or more, depending on height) and are in generally good health may be eligible to give blood.

And remember: Bring your Red Cross blood donor card or other form of positive ID when you come to donate.
