Jameson's Army Plans Second-Annual Gala

The Green Heart Gala will be held at the LeMont restaurant in Pittsburgh.

The second-annual Green Heart Gala will be hosted by Jameson's Army this Friday.

The event will be held from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. at the LeMont restaurant in Pittsburgh.

There will be dancing, cocktails and appetizers. Randy Baumann and Bill Crawford from WDVE radio will be emceeing the event.

Jameson’s Army is a non–profit organization based in Cecil. Its mission is “raising awareness and funding for children and families affected by congenital heart disorders.”

The creation of the army was inspired by 2-year-old Jameson McKain’s ongoing battle with hyponastic left heart syndrome.

Jameson was born missing the left side of his heart. He has undergone six open heart surgeries and a successful heart transplant. Jameson is doing well but it is an ongoing process that is never easy.

Jameson’s Army helps to ease this road for other children and families that are on a similar journey.
